OUR TAKE: Like the new drivers, the ST-Z fairway woods pack more punch than we’ve ever seen in a Mizuno wood, further proving that Mizuno is taking its metalwood design philosophy very seriously. This time though, the technology is hidden within a throwback shape, appealing to golfers who want a traditional looking fairway that they can use to hit a variety of shots from seemingly anywhere.
THE DETAILS: An ultra-lightweight carbon crown lowers the CG for better spin and an improved MOI performance, while the re-engineered WAVE Technology on the sole delivers a compact wave design that lowers the club’s mass. The net effect is a fairway wood that is super stable and produces a low spin launch for added control. Each loft also comes with an adjustable hosel for even more fine-tuning.
