"Serious street cred"
OUR TAKE: It’s impossible to miss Cobra’s RadSpeed. The electric yellow situated in the cavity is meant to make it stand out, and more than a handful of testers confirmed they “absolutely loved the look.” But looks will only take you so far. What many testers noticed was the 3D printed nylon medallion and detailed lattice structure served a dual purpose, upping the iron’s street cred while enhancing feel and shedding unwanted weight at the same time.
THE DETAILS: Cobra took an unconventional path to bring RadSpeed to life, partnering with HP and Parmatech to 3D print specific parts of the iron. Weight saved from the cavity was repositioned in the low toe and heel to dial in head weight and improve forgiveness. To increase speed and launch, the irons also have what Cobra calls a PWRSHELL face insert made from 17-4 stainless steel that’s built thin and flexible. A carbon fiber topline gives the head a unique look in the address position. In addition to the standard-length version, a variable-length variant provides progressive head shapes, grooves and hosel lengths to optimize launch
